... just stop I've felt so many side effects that I'm hoping when I stop using this drug I will feel like my pre-femara self.
My hair has thinned quite a bit; I'm a little forgetful, my joints have hurt... I lose my balance more & more... sleep a lot... low energy or zest for life... Will some of these side effects go away when I stop using this drug... I've read that doctors are suggesting to stay on the drug for additional years. I really don't want to take this drug anymore. Any suggestions?

Following. I don't know the answer. I just have almost started with it.
WOW, there were a LOT of adverse effects listed and 87% of the people who took Femara had adverse reactions. I've never seen a drug with so many serious reactions. The information did say that you should take it until you're in remission, but if you're having all these reactions, I honestly don't blame you for wanting off of it asap.
I found a question similar to yours (does Femara cause withdrawals?) and this was the answer on it : Yes this is a common reaction when you stop taking Femara. It can cause mild withdrawal symptoms that can include the following:
-Dizziness
-Nausea
-Headache
-Sweating
-Depression
-Insomnia
I hope this helps. It should go away when the drug is out of your system which shouldn't take longer than 4 days to a week. The half life of the drug is 2 days so it should be out of your system within 4 days. I hope this helps! Good luck!
