I only am on the 75mg capsules but took 2 of them in close time proximity and felt a little more tired but definitely more relief. Saved me a Soma and probably a Lortab or Tramadol as well.
Does anyone take Lyrica multiple times a day (every 6 hours or so) or strictly just AM/PM?

I take 100mg 4 times a day. I can tell what time it is without looking at a clock. So with me every 4hrs. I also take Clonazepam for nerves which works. It makes sense to me because neuropathy is nerve pain mine is all over my body.
I'm just happy to know that I can another Lyrica 3 hours apart
Can I ask what you are taking it for? From everything that I have read and received education about if you don't have Fibromyalgia the medicine effects your body differently. When I say from what I have read I mean to say that I have had Fibromyalgia since 1991 and it took the doctors until 1994 to figure it out. I checked at least monthly to see if they have found a cure for it yet and I continue to do so. Until recently, I refused to take Lyrica because my employment required carrying a 9mm with a permit so basically I lived with the pain for a very, very long time. A few years ago my wife became ill with a DVT in her knee after a light back injury. How the doctors came up with one affecting the other is still a mystery to me but even after her DVT was better her back was not. The doctor said it must be Fibromyalgia and gave her Lyrica to take 3 times a day at 75mg and I handled all her doses. Every dose of Lyrica I gave to her absolutely Zombied' her.
The was no relief of the pain, she was just to incoherent to tell me until she joined the world again so I stopped giving them to her. As it turned out she didn't have Fibromyalgia so she should not have been taking the Lyrica to begin with or so our new doctor told us. I am now retired and one day while in a full Fibromyalgia attack with the chronic fatigue and depression and everything it could throw at me I took just one of her Lyrica pills to see if it would at least knock the edge off my pain and less then half hour later my pain went from a 12 scale attack to maybe a 2 or 3, and stayed that way. So you can imagine my joy until found out I couldn't see my doctor to tell him about it until after the 1st of July. My wife's prescription was expired and I have now run out of the pills. I have read about and tried every drug legally available and I even tried marijuana which only made me hungry and sleepy. Additionally, I was blessed with a very botched shoulder surgery that the Lyrica doesn't touch but with it fighting the Fibromyalgia so well I can deal with shoulder pain on my own. I hope this helps someone like it did me, but please, don't be like me and choose your job over your health. All those years that I could have had doing much more enjoyable things with my family and instead I chose to hide from them and swear my wife to secrecy about what is really wrong because I couldn't show them a weak side of me. I chose not to get help and for me I now know it was wrong. This awful disorder is something that unless you have it you don't know how bad it is. Remember, only you can take care of you. Good Luck... Billy
Lyrica comes in 25, and 50. I take 50 Pm... 25 AM for MS neuropathy works great can function on 25 during the day, why didn't you google it? FYI handing out old scripts to your wife is not very smart. BE PROACTIVE! You be I control you don't like the Dr... switch have you seen the list of physicians in the yellow pages??? Come on!
The comment that lyrica only comes in 50mg n 75mg is false. I've been on lyrica 200mg 3x a day 600mg max dose for one year n tried going down n wow neuropathy n pain worsened immediately. I'm having some trouble with being soooooo tired. I can get 8hrs of (toss/turn) up in between for meds; n be taking a nap a hr or couple hrs after getting up in morning... im constantly exhausted but idk if it's lyrica or chantix? :( chantix is newer but I can't start smoking again, need another neck fusion n back l4-s1 ? Surgery... had back microdiscectomy but it's horrible still. Can't straighten n just horrible pain down both legs.
It most definitely helps with Fibromyalgia. I take 1 300mg capsule when I awaken an 2 300mgs capsules in the evening and it has helped in every way... The only drawback has been weight gain

Hi sleeingdog. I'm currently taking Lyrica 225 mg - twice a day. Have been on Lyrica for three years now. The dose I'm on now is the strongest. I can tell the difference in coping with the Sciatica and Fibromyalgia... very painful.
I take a 75mg at bedtime and in the AM, as prescribed. I was told it is safe to take twice as much so I've got room to go from there, that folks take 150mg 2x daily. I've been on it for several months, started at 50mg 1x, then 2x, and now 75mg 2x a day. Now that I've been at that level for a while I tolerate it really well with maybe a little drowsiness, but not sure (on Adderall as well, so any drowsiness would be offset a bit there).
When I was on Lyrica I was started at one 75mg at bedtime, & was increased to one at bedtime & one in the morning for a week each time. Then it was upped to two at bedtime & 1 in the morning. Have to give yourself time to adjust or it will make you too sleepy. If your doctor has only prescribed one 75mg., I would ask if you could have an increase on your prescription... Mary
