My dr put me on 150mg Wellbutrin once in the morning for a week then twice a day after that.I haven't started the twice a day even though it's been over a month since I've started the Wellbutrin. I take a lot of meds so it is hard to find time to take even one more. My question is when should I take the second dose? It is Wellbutrin SR so do I wait 12 hours in between or what?
Wellbutrin-when to take?

Yes lennongurl you are best to try to make a normal same time of day dose but with wellbutrin unlike many antidepressants that one you start it in the morning if you don't one of the main sideeffects is it tends to stimulate you so not good to take at first at night when dr changes to twice daily that dose take it with you mid day dose that is around 8 to 12 hours from the first dose you can check with your doctor of pharmicist but i think you would have been told if you have any interactions, you want to make it as simple as possivlelike a 3 slot dose pack you fill am,mid, bed other wise you end up not taking them the way they are prescribed.Good luck.. I take mine when I get up, and when I go to bed, it helps me remember.
Hi, lennongurl! I take 5 meds together in the morning and 7 at bedtime. Like kaismama says, as long as you take your doses at least 8hrs apart you should be fine.
I'm one of those OCD types that pretty much takes my meds the same time everyday, but I too sleep in or stay out later than usual. It's not a problem if you're not exactly on schedule.
Best wishes and Season's Greetings! WCV
There should be at least 8 hrs between them. I take allot of meds too. There is no reason you can't take pills together unless they interfere with absorption. I only take pills 3 times a day.
Really you can take some together? I take 7 a day as it is so it takes me awhile!
Oh hon, what are you on and how often and I'll work a schedule for you. This way you're a slave to your medications. Also what time do you go to bed and when do you get up.
Depends on day what time I get up. During week at 7:30am to get kids on the bus and weekends sometimes not untill after 10am. I take synthroid, Wellbutrin, Zoloft, Lipitor, Metformi, Luvox and Xanax (but that's right before bed).
Is the metformin only once a day? How does this sound. The synthroid as soon as you get up since its supposed to be taken on an empty stomach. Then half an hour later take wellbutrin, luvox, metformin, and zoloft. Then at bedtime take wellbutrin, xanax and lipitor. The antidepressants have some interactions but it doesn't make any difference in them to take them together or alone. The interaction is in your blood not your stomach. If you get a weekly pill box you can set it up for a week at a time and save even more time daily.
The metformin is once a day at dinner because I need to have food with it so my sugar doesn't go too low. I hate the idea of taking so much serotonin drugs as I worry about serotonin syndrome. But my dr knows exactly what I take and I'm sure he wouldn't prescribe if he thought it was bad.
Ok then move the metformin to dinner time. Your dr wouldn't prescribe them if he thought you would be harmed.
