How long does it take Rystiggo to work?
Rystiggo (rozanolixizumab) starts to work as soon as 1 week after taking the first dose. In a clinical trial, patients taking Rystiggo saw improvement in activities of daily living that are typically affected by generalized myasthenia gravis by the end of 6 weeks of treatment.
Each person will respond to Rystiggo differently, and not everyone will see an improvement in symptoms. Discuss how your treatment is going with your healthcare provider.
How does Rystiggo work?
Rystiggo is a monoclonal antibody. It attaches to the neonatal Fc receptor (FcRn), which causes immunoglobulin G (IgG) autoantibodies (proteins that attack your own cells) to get destroyed. This lowers the amount of IgG circulating in your body that can interfere with acetylcholine signaling between your nervous system and muscles. As a result of taking Rystiggo, you may notice an improvement in your muscle strength.
