Does Mavyret make you feel sick?
Mavyret can make you feel unwell or sick. Nausea, fatigue and headache are common side effects of treatment with Mavyret, according to the combined results from nine clinical trials conducted in about 2300 adults with hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection without cirrhosis or with compensated cirrhosis.
Nausea, fatigue and headache occurred in 8%, 11% and 13% of patients in these nine trials, respectively. Of the patients who experience these adverse reactions and others, the severity of the reactions were described as mild in 80% of cases.
Mavyret contains a fixed dose of glecaprevir and pibrentasvir and is used to treat hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection genotypes 1 to 6 in people without cirrhosis or with compensated cirrhosis. It comes in the form of a tablet and oral pallets and is taken daily with food for 8-16 weeks.
