Xipere (triamcinolone) for Macular Edema "I am a woman in my 60s. After one dose, Xipere has basically helped to reduce swelling caused by Cystoid Macular Edema in one of my eyes. Results went up and down in the weeks it was measured. HOWEVER, the side effects I have experienced are not good. Yesterday, I had cataract surgery for the cataract it caused. I have been losing hair on my head (thinning of hair is a prednisone side effect). I have also experienced an increase in facial hair. My doctor and I need to discuss our future with Xipere."
