Moricizine Dosage
Applies to the following strengths: 200 mg; 250 mg; 300 mg

Usual Adult Dose for Ventricular Tachycardia
Initial dose: 200 mg orally every 8 hours.
Maintenance dose: 200-300 mg orally every 8 hours.
Renal Dose Adjustments
Patients with significant renal dysfunction should be started at 600mg/day or lower and monitored closely, including measurement of EKG intervals, before dosage adjustment.
Liver Dose Adjustments
Patients with severe liver disease should be administered moricizine with particular care, if at all. Patients with hepatic disease may be started at 600 mg/day or lower and monitored closely, including measurement of EKG intervals, before dosage adjustment.
Dose Adjustments
The dose may be titrated upwards every 3 days to 250 mg every 8 hours, then 300 mg every 8 hours.
Precautions
Patients should be monitored on telemetry when first started on moricizine and for 48 hours after steady state. The QTc interval should be checked on a regular basis and with any increase in dose.
Other Comments
The maximum recommended daily dose is 300 mg every 8 hours.
