Can clarithromycin be used to treat UTI's?

Clarithromycin is a macrolide antibiotic and is not typically used to treat UTI's.
Common antibiotics used to treat the bacteria that usually cause urinary tract infections include trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole, amoxicillin, Augmentin, doxycycline, and fluoroquinolones.
