Does doxycycline cause kidney pain?

Abdominal or stomach tenderness is a known side effect of doxycycline.

Renal side effects associated with tetracyclines have included a dose-related rise in BUN (blood urea nitrogen).

There is no other renal side effect noted, however if you feel pain then I would suggest that you discuss it with your doctor.
