I had esophageal cancer for years ago. I had silent Gerd without knowing. For the last 5 + months I have had pain in my upper quadrant, side and back. Gall bladder got checked it was fine. I just got sent around to different docs. Nobody brought up Barrett’s, I did the research. Now I have esophageal cancer again. I would suggest to push hard at the docs for preventative care. The pain has gotten increasingly worse. Daily and constant with sudden attacks of fierce pain leaving me nauseous and tired.

I have exact same pain. After I was treated for a large ulcer which healed they found Barrett’s esophagus. I have silent gerd so do not get heartburn but constant pain in right upper quadrant into back and shoulder blade. So far even after taking protonix for a year for it pain is still current. At wits end what to do. Hope you are feeling better.

I think you should let your Doctor know about this soon as possible.
I have. Just wondering if other folks experience the same. Dr. has mentioned adding bile salts as I do not have a gall bladder.
