Can I drink alcohol while taking Entyvio?
Although there is no indication that alcohol and Entyvio (vedolizumab) have unsafe interactions, you should ask your doctor before drinking alcohol while taking Entyvio. Research has not been conducted to look explicitly at the safety of combining alcohol and Entyvio.
In rare cases, Entyvio is known to cause liver problems, which could be heightened by alcohol consumption.
Drinking alcohol may also affect your symptoms of Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis. Both of these conditions are types of inflammatory bowel disease. While research on this topic is mixed, there is some indication that alcohol consumption may worsen symptoms of inflammatory bowel disease.
